PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

​

The participant must be

​

• Available and located in Berlin during the period of the competition

​

• Available and located in Berlin for the next BFW, which takes place in February 2025

​

• Able to invoice their services during the next BFW in the case of winning

 

• An aspiring photographer (student, graduate, young professional) in the field of fashion/street-style photography

​

SELECTION CRITERIA

​

The photo series should

​

• Represent and reflect the local fashion culture of Berlin and Berlin Fashion Week

​

• Acknowledge and appreciate diversity in terms of gender, ethnicity, age, body type and fashion preferences

​

• Highlight the originality and creative elements in BFW street-style, as well as represent individual interpretations of fashion

​

• Be visually appealing and shareable on social media platforms

STREETSTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

FOR BERLIN FASHION WEEK 

IMAGES TO BE SUBMITTED

• Participants must submit a series of 5 photos that include the following images in any case: One “Close Up Beauty” Shot, one “Paparazzi” Shot, and one “Frontal Full Outfit” Shot

​

• Submission must include the individual photos, as well as the photos combined in one PDF file

Mit unserer Streetstyle Photography Competition geben wir aufstrebenden Fotograf aus Berlin die Möglichkeit, ihre Arbeit weiterzuentwickeln und ihr Talent in der Fashion- und Streetstyle-Fotografie zu zeigen. Teilnehmen können Student:innen, Absolvent:innen und Nachwuchsprofis aus Berlin.

​

Für jede Ausgabe können Teilnehmer fünf Fotos in verschiedenen Kategorien einreichen, die während der Berlin Fashion Week entstanden sind. Mithilfe des BFW-Show-Kalenders können sie Locations und Shows erkunden und die Fashion-Szene der Stadt direkt auf der Straße einfangen.

Alle Einreichungen werden sorgfältig von einer Expertenjury bewertet. In der SS27-Saison bestand diese aus Alejandro Reyes, Eva Losada, Luca Marie Lorenz, Marvin Lobodda, Marvin-Mario Bahome und Per Appelgren.

​

Der Gewinner der SS27-Saison ist Luciano Doria! Der gebürtige Italiener konnte sich mit seinen ausdrucksstarken Bildern der BFW gegen zahlreiche Teilnehmer durchsetzen. Als Gewinner wird er als offizieller Fotograf für die nächste BFW-Ausgabe im Januar 2027 engagiert*. Seine Gewinnerfotos wurden zudem im SICKY Magazine veröffentlicht - inklusive einem exklusivem Interview, welches HIER zu lesen ist.

*Kann nur erfüllt werden, wenn FCG von der Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe für die nächste Ausgabe der BFW erneut beauftragt wird
