Fashion Council Germany

Munich, October 26, 2023: On Tuesday evening, the Fashion Council Germany, supported by the Department of Labor and Economic Affairs / Competence Team Cultural and Creative Industries of the City of Munich, hosted the 50th Fireside Dinner in Munich. The event took place at hartmanns, the event space of FCG member hartmann consultants. The winner of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE was also announced during the evening: SF1OG particularly impressed with its sustainable concept and high-quality craftsmanship.

Since 2018, the “Firesidechats” have been regularly organized as a networking format by the Fashion Council Germany throughout Germany - including the opening of Berlin Fashion Week. The events are particularly intended to promote networking and thus provide guests with new contacts and encourage exchange within the industry. This time, the format once again took the form of a dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Christiane Arp, CEO of the FCG, opened the evening with a short speech and emphasized the importance of cohesion in the industry. She thanked Clemens Baumgärtner, Economic Affairs Officer of the City of Munich, for his support. In his welcoming address, he emphasized the importance of the fashion industry for the state capital of Munich and hoped for many more joint projects.

The winner of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE was then announced by Christiane Arp and the Senior Director for Brand Purpose at UGG®, Nicks Ericsson. The finalists Emilia Pfohl and Nan Li from NAMILIA, Kasia Kucharska from Studio Kasia Kucharska and Jacob Langemeyer and Rosa Marga Dahl from SF1OG were also on site. The jury of the award was represented on site by Christiane Arp (Fashion Council Germany), Julia Ballardt & Nico Verhaegen (Milk of Lime), Nicks Ericsson (UGG®), Patrick Pendiuk (Vogue Germany).
