NEWS: RAUM.Berlin – Fashion Council Germany and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy are calling for applications

Berlin, May 7, 2026: Who RAUM.Berlin Visitors don't just watch – they immerse themselves. Instead of a catwalk, there are spaces that bring collections to life: through installations, performances, and moments that aren't photographed, but felt. Organized by the Fashion Council Germany, the format has been part of Berlin Fashion Week for two editions. Now, the third round begins: From July 2nd to 5th, 2026 , during Berlin Fashion Week SS27, RAUM.Berlin will once again transform an exclusive Berlin location into a space between collection and installation, between showroom and exhibition.

The format has become a fixture on the Berlin Fashion Week calendar: Each day of the event, brands present their designs not on the catwalk, but through installations, performances, and interactive formats – thus engaging in direct dialogue with international industry professionals, buyers, and the general public. What began as an experiment has evolved into a platform where German designers gain – and maintain – visibility. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is supporting RAUM.Berlin as a funding partner for the second year running.

“ RAUM.Berlin gives designers something the industry too rarely offers: real space for experimentation, for expressing their views, for encounters. The fact that we are once again realizing this format together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy underlines how important such platforms are today – for the creative industries and for the future of Germany as a fashion hub,” said Scott Lipinski, CEO of the Fashion Council Germany.

Apply now: All fashion brands with a production facility in Germany that do not plan to exhibit at Berlin Fashion Week SS27 and wish to present at least ten designs as part of RAUM.Berlin are invited to apply. The competition is aimed at brands with fewer than 30 employees and a focus on sustainable fashion. The renowned jury and the location will be announced shortly; the winners will be revealed at the end of May 2026. The application form is available now at this link .
