PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS The participant must be • Available and located in Berlin during the period of the competition • Available and located in Berlin for the next BFW, which takes place in February 2025 • Able to invoice their services during the next BFW in the case of winning • An aspiring photographer (student, graduate, young professional) in the field of fashion/street-style photography SELECTION CRITERIA The photo series should • Represent and reflect the local fashion culture of Berlin and Berlin Fashion Week • Acknowledge and appreciate diversity in terms of gender, ethnicity, age, body type and fashion preferences • Highlight the originality and creative elements in BFW street-style, as well as represent individual interpretations of fashion • Be visually appealing and shareable on social media platforms STREET STYLE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION FOR BERLIN FASHION WEEK IMAGES TO BE SUBMITTED • Participants must submit a series of 5 photos that include the following images in any case: One “Close Up Beauty” shot, one “Paparazzi” shot, and one “Frontal Full Outfit” shot • Submission must include the individual photos, as well as the photos combined in one PDF file DOWNLOAD EXAMPLE here FRONTAL FULL OUTFIT © Caroline Kynast CLOSE UP BEAUTY © Ben Mönks PAPARAZZI © Jeremy Moeller Our Streetstyle Photography Competition gives up-and-coming photographers from Berlin the opportunity to further develop their work and showcase their talent in fashion and streetstyle photography. Students, graduates, and emerging professionals from Berlin are eligible to participate. For each edition, participants can submit five photos in various categories, taken during Berlin Fashion Week. Using the BFW show calendar, they can explore locations and shows and capture the city's fashion scene directly on the street. All submissions are carefully evaluated by a panel of experts. In the SS27 season, this panel consisted of Alejandro Reyes, Eva Losada, Luca Marie Lorenz, Marvin Lobodda, Marvin-Mario Bahome, and Per Appelgren. The winner of the SS27 season is Luciano Doria ! The Italian native prevailed against numerous other participants with his expressive BFW images. As the winner, he will be the official photographer for the next BFW edition in January 2027*. His winning photos were also published in SICKY Magazine – including an exclusive interview, which can be read HERE .
