During Berlin Fashion Week, not only the catwalks but also the city streets become a fashion stage: numerous photographers capture fleeting moments, documenting the activity around the shows or shop events and thus also the looks of the guests. And the best of them also manage to capture the special atmosphere of the week and give it a distinctive visual signature.

This season, we were looking for precisely these kinds of talents with our Streetstyle Photography Competition: From numerous submitted images taken during Berlin Fashion Week SS27 in July, a jury of experts selected this season's winner. The experts—Alejandro Reyes (Chief Editor and Creative Director, SICKY Magazine), Eva Losada (Visual Artist, Creative Director, and Photographer), Luca Marie Lorenz (Content Creator), Marvin Lobodda (Image Consultant and Stylist), Marvin-Mario Bahome (Stylist and Content Creator), and Per Appelgren (Fashion Photographer)—chose Luciano Doria!

Street style became a way for me to get to know strangers, to leave my comfort zone and to understand how they express themselves through their clothing. Every outfit tells a little story about identity, self-confidence or creativity. That’s exactly what keeps bringing me back to the streets with my camera.”

The jury praised Luciano for his creative compositions, expressive use of color, and experimental visual language that deliberately departs from classic street style photography. His photographs not only showcased fashion but also conveyed the unique energy of Berlin Fashion Week and captured the people who shape the city's character, they said.

As the winner of the competition, five of Luciano's images will be published across SICKY Magazine's channels and accompanied by an exclusive interview about his work. He will also be the official photographer for the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week.
