FCG: How will Corona change the fashion world?

Annette Roeckl: In my opinion, Corona will lead to there being fewer goods overall in the long term — but greater authenticity and focus in terms of the range. This also includes quality: I hope that we are entering a new era of value. We will probably also see a greater differentiation between classics and high fashion products in the future. Classics form the basic range of the wardrobe, which is broken up with small, always new and surprising, but limited capsule collections.

FCG: Can you also learn something from the crisis?

‍Annette Roeckl: think that the present also has its positive side and can be instructive and healing in many ways. Corona may function as a catalyst here, reinforcing already existing desires and tendencies. Such as the increasing demand for long-lasting products and a slowdown in the fast fashion system. This could lead to a change of heart: luxury simply needs time to be appreciated.

Annette Roeckl: What would have to happen for this? Seasonal cycles must be adjusted and overproduction avoided - ultimately it's about adjusting collections and offers to demand. The issue of sustainability is becoming increasingly important anyway, so recycled materials or sample production in Europe will play a greater role. Personally, I would like to see more mindfulness in dealing with resources and with other people in general.‍
