From January 30 to February 2, 2026, Berlin will once again become a stage for visionary fashion. The winners of the "Berlin Contemporary" and "Studio2Retail" competitions, funded by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises/Project Future, will present their collections during Berlin Fashion Week, thus setting new standards for innovation, sustainability, and creative diversity.
BERLIN CONTEMPORARY
An independent jury selected 19 designers whose collections impressed with their craftsmanship and clear strategies on sustainability and diversity. Each receives €25,000. The winners include established names such as GmbH, Namilia, and William Fan, as well as emerging talents like DAGGER, Laura Gerte, and MARKE. International labels recognized this season include Buzigahill, John Lawrence Sullivan, and Kenneth Ize. One of the prize funds is reserved exclusively for submissions from labels from African countries. This season, the jury chose the Nigerian label Orange Culture. In addition to the prize money, the label receives further support with production, PR, and guest management.
Congratulations to:
BALLETSHOFER, Buzigahill, DAGGER, GmbH, Haderlump Atelier Berlin, Ioannes, JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN, Kasia Kucharska, Kenneth Ize, Laura Gerte, Lou de Bètoly, MARKE, Namilia, Orange Culture, PLNGNS, Richert Beil, SF1OG, Sia Arnika and William Fan.
