On Thursday evening, stakeholders from Berlin Fashion Week , as well as representatives from the press and politics, gathered for the announcement of the introduction of the Copenhagen Fashion Week. Established Sustainability Requirements were brought together for an announcement dinner in Berlin.
On Thursday evening, the Fashion Council Germany, together with Berlin Fashion Week and Copenhagen Fashion Week, hosted an announcement dinner to celebrate their partnership in introducing sustainability requirements for Berlin Fashion Week. With the establishment of these sustainability requirements, developed by CPHFW, the Fashion Council Germany, responsible for coordinating the BFW calendar, commits to implementing these minimum standards as a binding criterion for Berlin Fashion Week shows. The 40 invited guests from the fashion and political sectors, as well as local press representatives, were given an insight into the implementation of the sustainability requirements for BFW. This will begin in a test and pilot phase in September and will be fully implemented in February 2026.
The guests gathered at the Berlin restaurant Irma la Douce, including the Berlin State Secretary for Economic Affairs Michael Biel, the Chairwoman of the Board of the FCG Christiane Arp, Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week , the designers Sophie Claussen ( Avenir ) , Johann Erhardt ( Haderlump ), Rosa Marga Da hl ( SF1OG ) and Nan Li ( Namilia ) , as well as Tanja Vojkic from eBay Germany and the FCG board and executive committee members Marie-Louise Berg, Roel de Coomann and Mandie Bienek.
