The Fashion Council Germany is proud to be the first German fashion institution to be nominated for the prestigious King's Foundation Awards .
The award, presented under the patronage of King Charles III, recognizes outstanding commitment to sustainable development, cultural education, and forward-thinking entrepreneurship. At its core is the philosophy of "Harmony": working in harmony with nature, rather than against it. The foundation is supported by prominent ambassadors, including David Beckham, Sienna Miller, Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster, George Clarke, Sarah Beeny, and Patrick Grant.
The FCG and the King's Foundation already have a close working relationship on the Fashion x Craft initiative, launched in 2022 and supported by eBay Germany as a partner since 2025. The project aims to teach young design talents techniques that go beyond the boundaries of traditional fashion and textile production methods. The program includes, among other things, a 12-day residency for fashion designers at the Highgrove Estate in England.
Recognition for the FCG's commitment to a fair fashion future
The nomination for the King's Foundation Awards recognizes the Fashion Council Germany's long-standing commitment to promoting a responsible, innovative, and inclusive fashion industry on the international stage. As the FCG, we consider this recognition not only a great honor but also a significant impetus to further advance our mission: to strengthen fashion as a cultural asset and a social force.
The award ceremony will take place on June 12, 2025 at St. James's Palace in London.
