Fashion and textile design graduates can now apply for the fifth edition of FASHION X CRAFT. With our joint emerging talent program with The King's Foundation, we are opening up beyond Germany's borders for the first time this year: In addition to four designers from Germany, four graduates from the United Kingdom can also participate. LANDS' END joins us as a new project partner.

The eight selected talents will undergo a multi-month program: a three-week craft residency in Brandenburg, participation in the Fashion Future Conference at Dumfries House in Scotland, and two presentation dates for the resulting collections – first during Berlin Fashion Week, then as part of an exhibition in the UK.

About FASHION X CRAFT

We launched FASHION X CRAFT in 2022 in collaboration with The King's Foundation, and this year the program enters its fifth edition. At its core is the teaching of artisanal techniques outside of industrial fashion and textile production, combined with a focus on sustainable resources. With this interdisciplinary format, we aim to open up new career prospects for young designers and simultaneously contribute to the transformation of the industry. The Fashion Council Germany covers travel and accommodation costs as well as program participation fees.

How do I apply?

Fashion and textile design graduates whose degree was awarded no more than two years ago and who are resident in Germany or the United Kingdom are eligible to apply – even during the project period. Applicants must also demonstrate a strong interest in sustainability, craftsmanship, and innovation. The application period runs from August 11 to 28, 2026; details can be found in our application information sheet.
