The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Stockholm, together with the Fashion Council Germany (FCG) and the Swedish Fashion Council, invited guests to an exclusive evening at the residence of the ambassador, Dr. Hans-Jürgen Heimsoeth. German and Swedish fashion representatives and politicians, such as the Swedish Minister of Trade Ann Linde, met there. This provided a unique opportunity to encourage designers and key players in the fashion industry from both countries to engage in a creative and interdisciplinary exchange.
The guests enjoyed a shared dinner accompanied by exciting speeches, including from the German ambassador and host of the evening Hans-Jürgen Heimsoeth, Ann Linde (Ministry for foreign Trade), Inga Griese, Jennie Rosén (SFC) and invited guests such as William Fan and Lydia Maurer (Phylyda). The editorial shoot BREAKFAST CLUB - ROAD TO SWEDEN, which was developed as part of the German-Swedish exchange, was also exhibited. The photo exhibition featured both German and Swedish brands, including Acne Studios, Aeyde, Closed, Filippa K, Kaviar Gauche, Marcel Ostertag, Roeckl, Tiger of Sweden, William Fan and others.
The following day, the guests from Germany attended workshops on the Swedish media landscape, the retail industry and fashion innovation to gain relevant and in-depth insights into the Swedish fashion industry. The FCG aims to deepen the collaborative work in the field of fashion between Sweden and Germany and is planning similar events with other fashion councils around the world. We would like to thank everyone involved!
