On the occasion of the Düsseldorf Fashion Days, local industry representatives from fashion, business and politics came together on Tuesday evening at the invitation of the Fashion Council Germany for the Fireside Dinner at Plange Mühle FUENF.

On Tuesday evening, the Fashion Council Germany, supported by the Düsseldorf Economic Development Agency, hosted the 48th Fireside Dinner at Plange Mühle FUENF at WERFT 1. The event was celebrated on the occasion of the Düsseldorf Fashion Days, which will take place in Düsseldorf from July 19 to 26, 2023. As one of the most important industry events for German and European buyers, the format has established itself nationally and internationally in recent years with numerous showrooms and trade fairs. With additional events for end consumers, the Düsseldorf Fashion Days are also becoming increasingly relevant for fashion enthusiasts and offer exciting insights into the industry.

The “Firesidechats” have been organized regularly as a networking format by the Fashion Council Germany throughout Germany since 2018 - with Berlin Fashion Week as the largest format of all locations. The aim is to make new contacts, stimulate the exchange of ideas and bring the industry together. Once again, the format took place at the Düsseldorf Fashion Days - this time in a slightly different form - as a dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Theo Grassl, board member of the FCG, welcomed the guests in a short speech and emphasized the significance of the Order Days for the industry. He also thanked the Düsseldorf Economic Development Agency, represented by Theresa Winkels, for its many years of support. In her subsequent speech, she emphasized the successful cooperation and looked back euphorically on the Order Days.

The guests also included Christel Wickerath (TextilWirtschaft), Dagmar Haas-Pilwat (Rheinische Post), Inga Klaassen (TextilMitteilungen / J'N'C), John Cloppenburg, Julia Zwingenberg, Lisa Riehl (freelance editor), Mario Keine (Designer MARKE), Timm Hartmann (Managing Director Timm Hartmann), Ulrike Kähler (Indego Exhibitions), William Fan (designer) and Yeliz Sunay (Zalando SE).

The evening resulted in a successful exchange between a wide variety of representatives from the creative and fashion industries as well as from business, politics and the press.
