Generation Future Hubs – open workshops in your city
In 2025, Generation Future continues to grow – beyond the classroom. New additions include the Generation Future Hubs , interactive workshop days in three German cities. They are aimed at all young people between the ages of 14 and 16 who are interested in fashion, sustainability, and design.
Dates 2025
In a full-day workshop format, participants can expect an introduction to the social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry, presented by the Fashion Council Germany. This will be followed by creative design sessions led by local partners such as the kreHtiv network Hannover , C-Hub NEXT Mannheim , and FABRIC Hamburg .
In Hamburg, a practical upcycling workshop is also on the program: Together, the young people will transform old T-shirts into new favorite items. Participants are welcome to bring their own T-shirts.
Participation is only possible after prior registration via the link.
School program for sustainable fashion education
In 2024, the educational program "Generation Future" was launched in schools throughout Germany. The Fashion Council Germany and the PVH Foundation initiated the project to introduce young people between the ages of 14 and 16 to the social and environmental challenges of the fashion industry – and at the same time show them career prospects in a fair, creative and sustainable fashion world.
In the first phase, the project team visited more than 16 schools – specifically secondary schools and comprehensive schools in regions with high levels of diversity. Supported by education experts, interactive workshops were held in the classroom, supplemented by in-depth webinars. The content covered topics such as global supply chains, the environmental impact of textile production, and opportunities within the industry.
A particular highlight was the invitation of 24 selected students to the international FASHION FUTURE conference at Dumfries House in Scotland. There, the participants were able to deepen their knowledge, take part in workshops, and network with industry experts.
