Last year, the Fashion Council Germany launched its educational platform , re.FASHION ACADEMY . The aim is to more closely link theoretical training and practical experience in the fashion industry. As a leading institution in the German fashion sector, the FCG leverages its network and expertise to offer a comprehensive and engaging educational program with renowned speakers under the motto " UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL, BOOST YOUR CAREER ." The extensive course offerings will be published starting in June and will provide both in-person and online (continuing) education opportunities for young professionals, fashion enthusiasts, industry experts, and anyone looking to expand their expertise.

To mark the launch, two webinars will be held on May 28th : “ AI is here to stay – Exploring the dynamic intersection of artificial intelligence and fashion ” with Cheryll Mühlen, Editor-in-Chief at J'N'C & TM, and “ Diversity and Inclusion in Fashion – How to understand and manage unconscious bias ” with FCG expert Stefan Brunner. These two industry experts will provide insights into the new direction of the courses and discuss the future-oriented topics of artificial intelligence and diversity in the fashion industry. Anyone interested from all sectors is invited to participate in the free webinars to learn more about the expanded educational offerings of the re.FASHION ACADEMY. Registration for the webinars is available via the website HERE and HERE .

As the representative body for the German fashion industry, the FCG combines knowledge with expertise and disseminates it through its forward-looking format. This aims to foster and discover new insights and developments within the fashion sector. The platform's goal is to transform continuing education in the industry, conveying not only theoretical knowledge but also practical know-how and experience. The offerings include webinars – both live and on-demand – seminars, workshops, and masterclasses. The topics are aligned with five key categories: sustainability, design, leadership, sales & marketing, and technology, all of which are relevant to the fashion industry.

In addition to offerings for end consumers, the re.FASHION ACADEMY offers companies the opportunity for individualized courses and training programs, thus creating solutions to strengthen the competitiveness of companies and to optimally promote their employees.

Christiane Arp, Chairwoman of the Board of the FCG: “ The re.FASHION ACADEMY combines education, talent, and experience – the foundation for mastering the opportunities and challenges of the fashion industry. We see it as our mission to support young people in particular, connect them with industry experts, and pass on our accumulated knowledge. The greatest challenge lies in conveying knowledge about sustainable fashion consumption and thus contributing to a societal shift in thinking.”

Following the official launch of the re.FASHION ACADEMY, the first seminars and webinars will begin this summer – including courses from MASJIEN founders Jasmien Wynants and Ann Claes, as well as brand strategist and leadership coach Anita Lotterschmid. Another highlight will be a webinar with trend forecaster Li Edelkoort, taking place at the end of the year. Those interested can now find out more, register, and benefit from the diverse range of educational opportunities on the re.FASHION ACADEMY website.
