The talk format ' METAMORPHOSIS – dialogues about change' powered by eBay will return for its third edition at the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week in July 2025. The event, organized by the Fashion Council Germany (FCG) in partnership with eBay Germany, will take place from June 30th to July 3rd, 2025. Under the overarching themes of Circularity and Creativity , a variety of talks with national and international industry experts will be held over the four days.
In its third edition, ' METAMORPHOSIS ' is increasingly evolving into a platform for meaningful exchange, generating momentum for continuous progress and change. It addresses not only a professional audience but also the interested public, as genuine change requires the involvement of both sides – the fashion industry and consumers. Thematically, the focus will be on the inevitable transformation of the fashion industry – circularity, and thus topics such as innovation, technology, and creativity, which play a crucial role for both eBay and the Fashion Council Germany, will be explored in various panels, interviews, and keynote speeches.
The four-day program is divided into the following main topics:
Day 1 (June 30) – Futurecraft: Fashion's Next Frontiers
Exploring new technologies, groundbreaking materials and innovative business models that are redefining fashion.
Day 2 (07/01) – The Circular Shift: Scaling Impact with Smart Systems
Strategies, systems and solutions to promote the circular economy and change in the fashion industry.
Day 3 (July 2nd) – Lead & Thrive: Building the Business of Tomorrow
Entrepreneurship, leadership and communication in a changing industry.
Day 4 (July 3rd) – Creativity as Currency: Designing for Meaning & Relevance
Focus on the creative process as a driving force for values, culture and conscious consumption
Scott Lipinski , CEO of the Fashion Council Germany, emphasizes: “With 'METAMORPHOSIS' we are establishing a platform that discusses the urgently needed change in the fashion industry and presents solutions. Innovation, creativity and open dialogue between industry and the public are crucial for shaping a circular future.”
“The partnership with the Fashion Council Germany is a key component of our vision to advance the circular economy in the fashion industry. As a pioneering pre-loved marketplace, eBay promotes innovation and creative solutions that make it easier for brands and consumers alike to become part of a functioning circular economy in fashion – with the aim of fundamentally changing the industry,” adds Mandy Krüger , Head of Fashion at eBay.
The program is once again being developed in collaboration with Ann Claes, co-founder of the Belgian agency Masjien, to ensure an international perspective from the outset. Over 40 industry experts will participate in ' METAMORPHOSIS – dialogues about change' powered by eBay at the SS26 edition of Berlin Fashion Week, sharing their knowledge with the interested audience and stimulating discussion. Representatives from eBay itself will also be present, further solidifying their presence as a key player in the fashion industry through this format. Further information about the speakers, the venue, and the detailed program will be announced in the coming months. Pre-registration is available via the website HERE. possible.
