From April 25 - 27, 2023, a 3-day workshop with the participants of this year's Fashion X Craft program took place at the Fashion Council Germany office in Berlin. They took part in various exciting and interactive seminars and activities, where they had the opportunity to get to know established personalities in the fashion industry and enter into dialog with them.

The 6 participants were also able to visit the studios of fashion designers Olivia Ballard and Rianna + Nina. In an interactive conversation with last year's participant Milk of Lime, they exchanged their experiences at Fashion X Craft. In a Deepdive PR & Communications workshop with vbc Agency, they learned more about promoting their own vision and mission as designers and received tips on successful communication in the field of sustainability.

Participants also had the opportunity to take part in a workshop with ChainBalance, a smart supply software company, on the topic of collection development. Questions such as “What are KPIs?”, “What can I use them for?” and “What data actually plays a role in the fashion industry in general?” were addressed and discussed. Together with the London bestselling author Ben Mercer, they also devoted themselves to various essays and documentaries on the topics of sustainability and craftsmanship.

A dinner at Papillon Berlin rounded off the workshop and offered all participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and make new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Fashion X Craft project will continue in July with a three-week stay for the participants in Highgrove (England).
