On the occasion of Berlin Fashion Week, the Federal Ministry for the Environment (patron of the FCG funding program German Sustain Concept) invited people to the opening event under the theme "How the fashion of the future will be environmentally friendly". The Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze discussed with Antje von Dewitz, Managing Director of the German outdoor brand Vaude, and the British fashion designer Hussein Chalayan how politics, fashion design and the textile industry can contribute to making the fashion of the future environmentally friendly and resource-saving. The panel discussion focused on the possibilities and opportunities of a sustainable future for the fashion industry in order to counteract the ever-growing challenge of textile production.
