BARABARA is a fashion company based in Munich and was born in 2021 from the simple vision of restoring fashion's artisanal roots. Our inspiration is Europe's craft heritage and our products open up a pluralistic and integrative approach to fashion history and ethnographic diversity. With this in mind, we design and manufacture charming and cross-generational clothing, shoes and accessories that follow the principles of "slow" and sustainable fashion. Our stringent products are hand-crafted 'jewels' that can be easily combined with an existing, personal style. We only use high-quality materials and produce limited editions with our network of European 'Artinsans'. BARABARA means “the road” in the Kiswahili language. It's a nickname that founder Barbara Baum got from her friends on the island of Lamu in Kenya, East Africa. At BARABARA we will never stop walking 'the road' of caring and daring style.
