Paula Dischinger is a multimedia artist. She has been recognised for the successful development of designs relating to the human body. Her special focus is on concept development and environmental research. Her sensitivity to materials produces two- and three-dimensional designs. The connections between fabric and human are scrutinised and provoked in her socially involved performances (artist collective FORK AND KNIFE).

Paula teaches Expressive Arts in Malawi, Africa for one year. In June 2023, she graduated with honours in fashion design from the Institut Francas de la Mode in Paris. Her graduation collection was presented at the opening of Paris Fashion Week and featured in several magazines such as GQ AW23. She gained further experience at the Kajihara Design Studio in Tokyo and at Melitta Baumeister in New York.

She is now part of the Performance Art:Society Masters programme at Central Saint Martins University in London. She is particularly interested in fashion shows as a huge communication platform. Communication via ‘hand-brain coupling’ opens doors in all directions and artistic fields
