NEWS: Fashion Council Germany launches its METAMORPHOSIS talk format for Berlin Fashion Week in partnership with Vogue Business and eBay Germany

Fashion Council Germany

More than 30 renowned industry experts will discuss these topics in six different panel talks and provide impetus for a subsequent audience discussion. Under the motto "METAMORPHOSIS – dialogues about change", the talk format aims in particular to work out the various facets and essential transformations of the industry, to create spaces for discussion on current topics and thus to promote exchange within the industry. The topic of circularity or circular economy can already be seen in many of the concepts of the brands in the BFW calendar. As one of Germany's largest online marketplaces, project partner eBay Germany also plays a key role in offering retailers and private individuals a trustworthy platform for the circular economy.

Scott Lipinski, CEO of the Fashion Council Germany, emphasizes: "Talk formats like METAMORPHOSIS offer us the opportunity to bring together leading industry experts from our network to share their concentrated knowledge with an interested audience. It gives me positive hope that we will use the stage of Berlin Fashion Week to stimulate conversation and thus set a change in motion."

Tanja Vojkic, Category Lead Fashion at eBay Germany, adds: “In the many conversations we continually have with our stakeholders in the fashion retail and industry, the topic of circular economy is a key part of the agenda. eBay.de was already a pioneer of the circular economy 25 years ago, and today the growth market for pre-loved items is more than ever a central element of eBay Germany's strategy and objectives. It makes sense that we would like to promote exchange in the fashion industry with a panel talk about circularity.”

The exhibition rooms, which will open in 2023, offer the perfect location for the talk format with their modern and industrial look.
