NEWS: UNLOCK Berlin Fashion Week: STUDIO2RETAIL makes fashion accessible to everyone

Berlin, June 27, 2025: From June 30 to July 5, 2025, the B2C initiative STUDIO2RETAIL of the Fashion Council Germany, supported by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, offers an extensive public program for Berlin Fashion Week. The aim is to provide fashion-interested consumers with structured access to events that take place during Berlin Fashion Week and are not exclusively reserved for a professional audience.

Under the title "UNLOCK Berlin Fashion Week," STUDIO2RETAIL brings together a variety of formats such as presentations, pop-ups, workshops, parties, and panel discussions taking place during Berlin Fashion Week. The initiative is specifically aimed at a broad audience and thus complements the BFW's B2B events. It highlights Berlin as a diverse, innovative, and accessible fashion hub.

A key element of STUDIO2RETAIL is the concept competition, implemented by the Fashion Council Germany on behalf of the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. This competition supports creative event ideas that bring Berlin Fashion Week to life for the public. Five selected concepts receive prize money of €5,000 to implement their formats. Thanks to the continued support of Berliner Sparkasse, a sixth prize was awarded this season, going to Selva Huygens for her compelling concept. Other program highlights within STUDIO2RETAIL include the NEXT GEN POP-UP from PLATTE and the ready-to-wear debut from HUMAN TOUCH – both of which have already been awarded STUDIO2RETAIL prizes in previous seasons. The program is further complemented by SHAPES OF US 3.0 from THE CODE .
