Join us in discussing the future of fashion: Fashion Council Germany launches #FCGVOICES Talks

Every challenge brings with it opportunities – and this is true even during the coronavirus pandemic. In the case of the German and global fashion industry, it's about questioning the fashion system and cycle; whether the learned and routine system, as we know it and have practiced it for years, is sustainable. Do we need so much consumption? Can we manage our resources better? And how can we cooperatively establish a sustainable industry on a global scale after the crisis?

In these times of crisis, the Fashion Council Germany is launching a new online format: the #FCGVOICES Talks. These talks, based on the classic roundtable concept, will focus not only on current challenges but also, and especially, on necessary systemic changes within the fashion industry, allowing industry experts and opinion leaders to discuss the future of fashion. The first #FCGVOICES Talk will be moderated by Inga Griese (Editor-in-Chief of ICON) and will feature Nadja Swarovski (Swarovski), Dirk Schönberger (MCM), and Mandie Bienek (Press Factory) as panelists.

“As an industry, we need to come together and support each other with experience, knowledge, and ideas. Only through innovation and questioning established systems can we shape the future together. We are grateful that #FCGVOICES has been adopted as a new, non-competitive communication platform. Editors, brands, designers, trade fair organizers, PR agencies, manufacturers, and many more are all part of our cross-cutting industry: the fashion industry. We want to give this cross-cutting voice. Soon, we will be able to formulate a code of conduct for the future of the German and global fashion industry from our collaborative format,” said Scott Lipinski, Managing Director of the Fashion Council Germany.
