From July 1st to 4th, Berlin Fashion Week continues its commitment to promoting exceptional talent, sustainability and creativity.

With its progressive positioning, high-profile brands and the high quality of its collections , Berlin Fashion Week is establishing itself as a key event. For several seasons now, it has increasingly become an important event on the international fashion calendar. As an event whose unique character lies in fusing subcultural movements, art, design, and music with fashion, Berlin Fashion Week clearly reflects the organizers' course towards creative freedom and diversity.

Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises: "Berlin Fashion Week is far more than a showcase for new trends – it's a platform for diversity and promotes community building, innovation, and integration. The commitment to sustainability, the outstanding quality of the collections, and a unique brand mix make Berlin Fashion Week another important industry event this summer, embodying the values of freedom and tolerance like few others. I would particularly like to emphasize the continued support for Ukrainian designers, who find a stage and a springboard to economic independence here. This support reaffirms our ongoing solidarity and our approach to promoting creatives from diverse cultural backgrounds."

The winners of STUDIO2RETAIL:

The STUDIO2RETAIL program enables smaller labels, showrooms and stores to present themselves to a wider audience and thus make the BFW visible throughout the city.

An expert jury selected the projects that were awarded prize money of 5,000 euros each by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises:

Black in Fashion (Buki Akomolafe and Emeka Suits ) , Lou de Bétoly with the showroom "private view", NEXT GEN Pop Up 2024 (organized by PLATTE.Berlin ), " The Lissome presents: Slow Style Chronicle" and People. In addition, Berliner Sparkasse financially supported the " Effenberger Couture 5th Anniversary" project.

This year's jury members in the STUDIO2RETAIL category were:

Avi Jakobs (TV presenter & content creator), Dries Vriesacker (stylist / co-founder & creative director, ENFNTS TERRIBLES Magazine), Greta Thaysen (director of the Berlin office, LIGANOVA), Manuel Almeida Vergara (head of fashion & style section, Berliner Zeitung), Nessie Degerlie (co-founder & fashion director, avec nous), Scott Lipinski (CEO, Fashion Council Germany)
