The Fashion Council Germany and the online marketplace eBay have jointly supported five Berlin fashion labels in a unique design project. The looks are now available for purchase via the Fashion Council Germany eBay shop.

Of course, there were plenty of exciting details, special finishes, and daring material experiments to see at Berlin Fashion Week. But behind ten designs that graced the runway lay a particularly extraordinary story. The designer looks from the Berlin fashion labels BALLETSHOFER , Haderlump Atelier Berlin , Lou de Bètoly , Natascha von Hirschhausen , and Sia Arnika were created from upcycled materials and pre-loved garments that had been previously acquired via the online marketplace eBay.

That's where they're returning now. The ten looks are available HERE from €119 via the Fashion Council Germany eBay shop. Anyone wanting to buy them should hurry, as each piece is truly unique.

Background

The design process originated from eBay Circularity Support, an initiative that provided designer labels with €5,000 to create two unique outfits each. These outfits are one-of-a-kind and promote the vision of a functioning circular economy and more responsible fashion. The designers presented these outfits as part of their collections during Berlin Fashion Week. Now, their community can purchase these exact outfits and own a genuine runway piece.

Regarding the designs

Natascha von Hirschhausen created an elegant jumpsuit, oversized pants, and an asymmetrical top from 100% linen curtains. Lou de Bètoly crafted one of her signature playful and feminine looks from vintage lingerie. Haderlump opted for urban streetwear, including a knitted long-sleeved top, a bomber jacket, and a skirt, all made from reused leather.

BALLETSHOFER's looks are crafted from high-quality cotton materials. The designer combined classic elements with a modern aesthetic: alongside a pinstripe set, he created a zip-up jacket and black uniform trousers. Sia Arnika showcases two exceptional upcycled looks: a draped corset with a checked lining, made from an oilskin jacket and a vintage corset as a base, and a two-piece outfit consisting of a vintage work shirt and repurposed trousers, which are given a dynamic pattern using deadstock hosiery material.
