On October 24, 2023, the Fashion Council Germany, supported by the Department of Labor and Economics / Competence Team for the Cultural and Creative Industries of the State Capital of Munich, invited guests to the 50th Fireside Dinner in Munich. The event took place in hartmanns, the event space of FCG member hartmann consultants. During the evening, the winner of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE was also announced: SF1OG was particularly impressive due to its sustainable concept and high-quality craftsmanship.
Since 2018, the "Firesidechats" have been regularly held as a networking format by the Fashion Council Germany throughout Germany - including the opening of Berlin Fashion Week. The events are intended to serve as a networking format in particular, thus providing guests with new contacts and promoting exchange within the industry. This time, the format again took place as a dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Christiane Arp, Chairwoman of the FCG, opened the evening with a short speech and emphasized the importance of cohesion in the industry. She thanked the economic advisor of the state capital Munich, Clemens Baumgärtner, for his support. In his welcoming speech, he emphasized the importance of the fashion industry for the state capital Munich and hopes for many more joint projects.
The winner of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE was then announced by Christiane Arp and the Senior Director for Brand Purpose at UGG®, Nicks Ericsson. The finalists Emilia Pfohl and Nan Li from NAMILIA, Kasia Kucharska from Studio Kasia Kucharska and Jacob Langemeyer and Rosa Marga Dahl from SF1OG were also there. The jury for the award was represented on site by Christiane Arp (Fashion Council Germany), Julia Ballardt & Nico Verhaegen (Milk of Lime), Nicks Ericsson (UGG®), Patrick Pendiuk (Vogue Germany).
