Ten years of GmbH , a century of Berlin fashion history: At the Kronprinzenpalais, Serhat Işık and Benjamin A. Huseby resurrected a scene that had been erased at the close of Berlin Fashion Week in July 2026. Their collection is inspired by the work of Berlin fashion designers who, at the beginning of the 20th century, worked on par with Paris before being systematically persecuted, dispossessed, and murdered by the National Socialists.
Fashion houses like Clara Böhm, Hermann Gerson, and Staebe-Seger inspired the two designers to create an elegant design language, understated color palette, and sophisticated tailoring solutions – GmbH's distinctively sporty silhouettes were grounded in concrete historical references. For their research, Işık and Huseby visited the archive of Julia Schwarz, a collector of historical Berlin fashion.
In light of rising right-wing movements, the two describe in their program booklet for the fashion show that the memory of this heyday should also be understood as a warning: The label always positions itself politically and leaves no doubt that it will not abandon this stance in the face of increasing racist and discriminatory tendencies in society.

The elaborate realization of the show was also made possible by this year's FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund win: The joint sponsorship award from Vogue Germany and the Fashion Council Germany went to the designer duo in its second edition – including prize money of 50,000 euros provided by the cosmetics brand KIKO Milano , a mentoring program and the implementation of the runway show during Berlin Fashion Week, supported by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
