In mid-October, around 50 select experts from the German fashion industry gathered at the RIVA Bar in Munich for the exclusive Fireside Dinner hosted by the Fashion Council Germany (FCG). The event, held in cooperation with eBay Germany, the City of Munich, and Kreativ München, once again provided a platform for intensive networking among politicians, journalists, designers, and other industry representatives. In the relaxed atmosphere of the RIVA Bar, guests engaged in lively discussions about current developments in the German fashion industry and forged valuable connections. The Fireside Dinner brought together key industry players and strengthened the network within the fashion community.
Mandy Krüger (Head of Fashion, eBay Germany) opened the evening with a speech in which she emphasized the importance of the partnership between eBay and the FCG: “ As a partner of the Fashion Council Germany, we are committed to creating spaces for exchange and new perspectives: Formats like RAUM.Berlin and METAMORPHOSIS demonstrate how change in fashion is possible – through exchange, collaboration, and new impulses. Together, we can forge new paths to make fashion more sustainable and diverse. ” The subsequent speakers, Simone Hartmann (Board Member, FCG) and Dr. Olaf Kranz (Head, Kreativ München), also underscored the relevance of cooperation and innovation for the future of the fashion industry in their presentations.
The Fireside Dinner in Munich thus provided new impetus for dialogue within the German fashion scene and reaffirmed the importance of personal encounters for the further development of the industry. Among the guests present were Carlo Bellmann (eBay), Lisa Deurer (LD-13), Johannes and Matthias Schweizer (OBS), Panos Gotsis (designer), Patrick Pendiuk (VOGUE Germany), and Scott Lipinski (FCG).
Since 2018, the FCG networking format “Firesidechat” has been taking place in various major cities throughout Germany, regularly bringing together the most important industry representatives for an exchange of ideas.
