Together with Be an Angel e.V. we invited you to an exclusive charity dinner in mid-November as part of the photography exhibition "A Tribute to Beauty". The exhibition was created as a collaboration between Be an Angel e.V., Barthouse and GRAFT Architekten and brings an artistic cross-section to Berlin. The works of renowned photographers are presented, including museum prints by the artists Arthur Elgort, David Drebin and Paola Kudacki. The evening not only highlighted the art, but also the strong social commitment of those involved.

As a leading authority in the German fashion industry, the FCG is committed to promoting fashion as a cultural and creative asset. The event offers the opportunity to use this reach in the fashion industry for humanitarian purposes. Together with Be an Angel e.V., art is combined with fashion to strengthen social commitment and draw attention to social challenges. The dinner marked the start of the collaboration between the FCG and Be an Angel e.V.. The Berlin-based organization, which operates worldwide, has been supporting refugees in need since 2015. Especially since the beginning of the Ukraine war, Be an Angel e.V. has been committed to targeted measures on site, including evacuations, the delivery of relief supplies and the support of traumatized children. With the dinner, the Fashion Council Germany is sending an important signal for the responsibility of the fashion industry and at the same time promoting the idea that fashion and art work together to enable positive change.

"Our collaboration with Be an Angel is a clear commitment to the social responsibility of the fashion industry. We have the power to make important issues visible and initiate change. By combining art and fashion, we not only want to create aesthetic values, but also provide concrete help. It is our job as an industry to take responsibility and actively promote projects like this," said Mandie Bienek, co-founder and board member of the Fashion Council Germany.

The guests included Tatjana Sprick (Director of Programs and Development, Design Akademie Saaleck), Alan Balletshofer (designer), Chris Stricker (founder, haebmau), Manuel Almeida Vergara (Head of Fashion & Style Department, Berliner Zeitung), as well as Kiki Albrecht (Creative Communication Consultant) and Fiona Bennett (designer).

The FCG networking format "Firesidechat" has been taking place in various major cities in Germany since 2018 and regularly brings together the most important industry representatives for an exchange.
