The Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises will once again award prize money to innovative concepts for shows, events, and presentation formats during the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week (July 10-15, 2023). The competition aims to further strengthen the growth potential of the fashion industry "Made & Designed in Berlin and Germany" and to continue supporting designers from Ukraine. Winners can expect prize money of up to €25,000 per concept.

From March 29, 2023, concepts can again be submitted in two categories :

In the category “ STUDIO2RETAIL ”, the 5 best ideas for exceptional store and studio event concepts will be awarded prizes of up to 5,000 euros each .

The " BERLIN CONTEMPORARY " category is aimed at participants whose Berlin-based or German-based brands present exceptional design achievements and pursue strong, innovative, and sustainable approaches in their products, corporate philosophy, and event concepts. The 10 winners will each receive up to €25,000 .

Furthermore, as a sign of solidarity, the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises is awarding prizes of up to €25,000 each to four Ukrainian designers as part of BERLIN CONTEMPORARY .
