Manuel Almeida Vergara has headed the communications department of FCG since October 2025. After completing vocational training in clothing technology, he earned a bachelor's degree in fashion journalism and media communication from the Academy for Fashion & Design Berlin and a master's degree in cultural journalism from the Berlin University of the Arts. Following positions at the Tagesspiegel and the Frankfurter Rundschau, he most recently headed the style section of the Berliner Zeitung and was also a member of the editorial board. In addition, Manuel Almeida Vergara has written for various fashion publications as a freelance author and moderated panel discussions and conferences.
