MOOT

Fashion brand

MOOT stands for “Made Out Of Trash”. This name symbolizes the radical approach of producing new clothing exclusively from supposed waste. Starting with T-shirts made from bed linen, the ever-growing range currently consists of seven products: - T-shirts, long sleeves and tops made from bed linen - Jackets and coats made from wool blankets and coconut shells - Pants made from curtains - Bags made from sofa cushion covers. The journey of products begins where it usually ends for clothing - with the clothing donation. They obtain a large part of their raw materials from the Berlin City Mission, the German Clothing Foundation and the DRK. To make it suitable for the masses, some of the raw material is dyed and then sewn (among other things) in cooperation with the Berliner Union tailoring department. The result is a distinctive and socially acceptable product that is not just “Made Out Of Trash”, but is absolutely unique.
