Berlin, November 4, 2025: The Fashion Council Germany (FCG) and Vogue Germany are launching the FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund for the second time . The continuation of this funding initiative for young design talents and emerging fashion labels based in Germany was announced on October 9, 2025, at the Vogue talk event "Forces of Fashion." Following a successful first edition last year, the partners are continuing their collaboration to further strengthen the visibility, innovation, and competitiveness of the German fashion industry. The fund aims to provide sustainable support for outstanding talent and facilitate their establishment in the fashion industry both nationally and internationally. The Fashion Council Germany and Vogue Germany are combining their many years of experience in supporting emerging talent: While the FCG offers winners exclusive access to its extensive network and diverse opportunities for strategic development, Vogue Germany contributes its media expertise and positions them within the national and international fashion discourse. The project is also supported by the beauty brand KIKO Milano and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
“Following the great success of the first edition of the FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund, we are delighted to continue the initiative in 2025. It once again offers young designers the opportunity not only to gain visibility but also to benefit from targeted mentoring and a strong industry network. Our goal is to support young talent in their professional development, enhance their career prospects, and thus make a sustainable contribution to strengthening the German fashion industry,” said Scott Lipinski, CEO of Fashion Council Germany.
Kerstin Weng, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Germany, adds: “ The first edition of the FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund was enthusiastically received. This has encouraged us to continue the initiative in 2025. Platforms are needed that give young designers visibility, support them when needed, and also contribute to their financial development. Vogue Germany and the Fashion Council Germany want to play a significant role in this and, in doing so, send a strong message for German fashion. ”
As part of the inaugural FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund, Berlin-based designer Kasia Kucharska was named the winner in autumn 2024. The award ceremony took place during the Vogue talk event Forces of Fashion in Berlin. The award was presented by Edward Enninful (Chief Creative Officer EE72) and model Paloma Elsesser. Kasia Kucharska prevailed against six other finalists with her innovative designs incorporating biodegradable latex.
The second edition of the FCG/VOGUE Fashion Fund once again offers the winner a comprehensive business mentoring program with leading industry experts, as well as the production of their own fashion show for Berlin Fashion Week in summer 2026, made possible by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. The internationally successful beauty brand KIKO Milano is sponsoring the prize money and serving as the beauty partner for the models' styling in the winner's show. This year, the prize money has also been increased to €50,000. In addition, there will be accompanying communication measures designed to increase the label's visibility both nationally and internationally. A distinguished jury of experts from the fashion, media, and business sectors will select the finalists and the winner, and their names will be announced in the coming weeks.
