To kick off Berlin Fashion Week, THE BERLINER SALON took place on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the Kronprinzenpalais Unter den Linden. In addition to its focus on German design talent from fashion, manufacturing, and product design, the Berlin Salon emphasizes a holistic approach. THE BERLINER SALON is organized for Berlin Fashion Week by Christiane Arp, Chairwoman of the FCG, and Marcus Kurz, Managing Director of NOWADAYS, in partnership with the Berlin Senate for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. Among other things, the UGG® Classic Mini Boots, designed by the winners of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZESF1OG – were presented in partnership with the global lifestyle brand UGG®.

Back in October, UGG® and the Fashion Council Germany announced the winner of the UGG® CULTURE CHANGEMAKER PRIZE, SF1OG, and the two runner-up brands, Namilia and Kasia Kucharska . SF1OG was selected by a jury of industry experts who evaluated the conceptual redesign of the iconic UGG® Classic Mini Boot based on innovation, creative excellence, and sustainable implementation. The newcomer brand received €40,000 in prize money. Innovative materials and UGG®'s regenerative Twinface fabric were used in the creation of the prototypes.

In addition to the exhibition at DER BERLINER SALON, SF1OG will also present its shoe at its fashion show on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, as part of Berlin Fashion Week.
