We are pleased to introduce the jury for the street style photo competition during BFW in July. The five industry experts will select the winner(s) from all submissions. They are eager to see BFW and the Berlin fashion scene through your eyes (or rather, your lenses).
Josepha Rodriguez is a freelance stylist and creative consultant currently based in Berlin. Her work is characterized by architectural aesthetics and minimalist elegance—a modern yet timeless approach to visual storytelling. For the past 13 years, Josepha has collaborated with high-end fashion and advertising brands, international magazines, and promising startups. She has worked with some of the most respected photographers, designers, and celebrities. With a keen eye for visual presentation and tangible designs, she is always focused on bringing a project to life.
Kenya Tay
Kenya Tay, a Paris-based photographer and filmmaker of Ghanaian and Dutch descent, explores cultural identity through her painterly lens. She holds a Master's degree in Visual and Digital Media from IE Business School, and her work has graced the pages of Vogue, ELLE Netherlands, and Refinery 29. She has been featured in AfroStylez Magazine and Debonair Afrik, and her art resonates globally. Tay's profound impact on contemporary visual culture makes her a leading voice in the exploration of identity and storytelling through photography and film.
Kristian Schuller
Kristian Schuller is a photographer based in New York and Berlin. Born in Romania, Kristian emigrated to Germany with his family at a young age. He studied fashion design with Vivienne Westwood and photography with the legendary German fashion photographer F.C. Gundlach at the Berlin University of the Arts. Following his introduction by editor Isabella Blow at Condé Nast Publications in London, Kristian continued to work internationally with various fashion magazines, commercial clients, and on personal projects. Kristian works closely with his wife, Peggy. He has had photography exhibitions in Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Krakow, Miami, and Hamburg.
Manuel Almeida Vergara
Manuel studied fashion journalism for his bachelor's degree at the Academy of Fashion & Design Berlin and cultural journalism for his master's degree at the Berlin University of the Arts. During this time, he completed a traineeship in the fashion section of the Tagesspiegel newspaper and, starting in 2016, worked for four and a half years as an editor in the Panorama section of the Frankfurter Rundschau. Since 2021, he has been with the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, initially as a style editor, and now as head of the fashion and style section. He writes freelance for various Burda publications and for magazines such as Stilwerk. He also regularly appears as a guest and moderator on panels for PREMIUM magazine, Goethe University Frankfurt, and Berlin Fashion Week.
Nina Klein
For 25 years, Nina Klein and her team have successfully managed and connected stylists and hair/makeup artists for high-profile photo shoots for fashion and beauty clients. With her new Content Creation unit, she expands her artists' expertise to include content productions focusing on street style, OOTD, GRWM, tutorials, and masterclasses. For over 10 years, Nina has also worked as a business coach, advising creatives, entrepreneurs, and executives in the creative industry. She is also the author of the coaching book *Awareness is Fire* , which presents readers with 20 key insights in comic book form, all aimed at rekindling their inner fire.
