Once again this year, over 20 Berlin fashion designers took up the challenge of making the artistic horizon of their own signature visible in the context of an art fair as part of FASHION POSITIONS at the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair from September 15 - 18, 2022. In addition to the dialog between fashion and art, the aim was to highlight the value of sustainable fashion in the age of fast fashion and to further develop Berlin as an important location for independent fashion designers.

After the first edition in 2020, the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises enabled more than 20 selected and independent designers to create a cross-genre platform for the third time with the aim of presenting the creativity of the fashion labels and their current collection in a high-quality interdisciplinary art and fashion cooperation and making the interfaces and interactions between the disciplines visible. FASHION POSITIONS was initiated by Mira von der Osten (CRUBA), Olaf Kranz (BRACHMANN) and Kristian Jarmuschek (POSITIONS Berlin). This year, Berlin fashion designer, milliner and FCG member Fiona Bennett chaired the FASHION POSITIONS board of trustees.

In the context of the art fair POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair and coinciding with Berlin Art Week, the selected Berlin fashion designers presented their aesthetic statements with their unmistakable signature to an audience that wants to discover new, contemporary positions: in art as well as in fashion.
